Hello!
I am Yihao. I am a third year PhD student in the Computer Science department of UCLA, advised by Professor Baharan Mirzasoleiman.
My primary focus is on representation learning (e.g., self-supervised/supervised, multimodal learning) and its robustness (e.g., regarding label noise, distribution shift). Most of my recent research centers around two key questions: (1) what aspects of the data do the representations capture, and (2) are these aspects aligned with our downstream objectives? I employ theoretical tools to gain a deeper understanding, which, in turn, yields practical guidance and applications.
