Yifan Gu

Welcome to my website! I am a second-year Mathematics Ph.D. student at the University of California, Los Angeles, advised by Dr. Andrea Bertozzi. I am currently working at the intersection of applied math, physics, and engineering. I mathematically model phenomena in fluid dynamics, usually in the form of nonlinear differential equations, which are then solved with numerical simulations. 

Previously, I obtained a BS degree also from UCLA, majoring in mathematics of computation and minoring in bioinformatics and data science engineering.
