Postdoctoral Scientists

Claire Schollaert

Claire is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Her research is focused on examining wildfire and forest management impacts on air pollution exposures, particularly among vulnerable populations. Claire holds a BA in Biology and Anthropology from Bowdoin College, an MPH from Boston University, and a PhD in Environmental Health from the University of Washington.

Graduate Students

Claire Bekker

Claire is a PhD student in the Environmental Health Sciences department at UCLA. She is interested in using remote sensing and atmospheric modeling to study wildfire pollution and predict the effects of prescribed burning. Claire obtained a Bachelor's of Science from Brown University in Geology-Biology.

Tyler Moy

Tyler is a Ph.D. student in the Environmental Health Sciences Department. His research interests center around extreme weather events and natural disasters along with the various effects they have on human health. He obtained his B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley and his M.P.H. in Environmental Health Sciences at UCLA's Fielding School of Public Health.

Jenny Nguyen

Jenny is an M.S. student in Environmental Health Sciences at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She is interested in studying the impacts of extreme heat and wildfire smoke exposure on at-risk communities to better understand the intersections between climate change and health. Jenny holds a B.S. in Environmental Systems (Earth Sciences) from UCSD.
