I am an early-career interdisciplinary ecologist and PhD candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES). Growing up in the suburbs of Southern California, I saw wildlife in my backyard as often as I did on my tv screen and in my books. We're all living in the same neighborhood, so let's work together to make it a good one.
My research seeks to understand and find attainable solutions to ongoing human-wildlife conflicts. The foundational fields of my work are social-ecological systems (SES), animal movement behavior, and environmental narrative.
A key part of my work has been studying environmental narrative. This includes creating and encouraging the creation in community with others. Here is some of that art.
