Health Justice Scholars Program (HJSP)

A program hosted by UCLA's UMMA Volunteer Project (UVP) that aims to expose high school students interested in healthcare to medicine, health justice, public health research, and college/career resources

Curriculum

Learn about health and health justice in Los Angeles, including how vaccines work, racism in healthcare, environmental health and justice, and lots of LA case studies.

Research

Apply curriculum to develop a research question, find and cite sources, conduct community interviews, prepare a research presentation, and present at our symposium.


Mentorship

Engage in a mentor-mentee relationship with a volunteer from UCLA.
