28 Days of Black Liberation (Playlist by Sikán) https://www.sikanmusic.com/
This playlist is meant to display the many varying and often contrasting musical perspectives on the subjects of liberation and survival under oppressive circumstances. There is not one overarching emotion or feeling. Although, due to the limits of my own knowledge, the majority of the voices here are from the United States, I made sure to include the perspectives of artists from all over the world. African, Afro-American, Afro-Peruvian, Afro-Colombian, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-British, Afro-Puerto Rican, Afro-Jamaicans artists are all present here and contribute to the conversation on liberation in unique ways. At times aggressive and at times peaceful, at times celebratory and at times defeated, the struggle for liberation embodies all emotional experiences and the multiplicity of Black be-ing.
