DEVELOPMENT

Purpose: A development environment is the set of processes and programming tools used to create the program or software product. Developers will make configuration changes each day and deploy to the Development environment as required.

TEST

(ucla-test2)

Owner Jeramie

Purpose: A test environment is focused on testing individual components and provides the necessary setup to execute controlled test cases. Changes to the Test environment will be deployed after a user story has completed unit testing and code review. This could occur at end of day or multiple times a day.

Status: Active (Reset 7/16/2024)

STAGING

Purpose: Production stage environment used to make production hot fixes. Parallel testing team will use Stage prior to Release 1.

Code Base: All releases (Current Release after go-live)

Status: Active (Refreshed 4/2/2025 - Prod)

SANDBOX

Owner Tony

Purpose: The sandbox environment is a playground for business users.  Configuration here has passed FUT in Test (test2).  Training team is using Sandbox to build training materials.

SIT and UAT

Purpose: System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing containing changes for Specs in the upcoming Release.

TRAINING

Purpose: Training Instance is used for End User Training.  Functionality by release will added to training once testing is complete.
