Come join hundreds of preK-6 teachers, teacher educators, coaches, researchers, and administrators from all over Southern California (and beyond!) for this exciting one-and-a-half day event! We proudly offer keynote and featured sessions from CGI researchers alongside dozens of 75-minute breakout sessions addressing a wide variety of topics for participants with a range of CGI experience. We will make connections to foundational CGI research ideas, our teaching practice, and the 2023 California Mathematics Framework as we connect, learn, and grow together as a CGI community.

Over the past many decades, Dr. Megan Franke has so thoughtfully engaged educators across Southern CA and beyond to consider what research on children's mathematical thinking offers, how teachers and school communities take up these ideas in responsive and ever-evolving ways, and why this might create rich opportunities to transform schooling experiences for young people.

Conference attendees who are new to CGI are encouraged to attend this "CGI 101" pre-conference workshop focused on core CGI Principled Ideas and designed to support participation and engagement throughout the conference. Registration fee for this pre-conference session is an additional $50. Light morning snacks and lunch provided. Capacity is limited.
