Quick & Dirty Research

Quick and dirty research is a phrase coined by Syracuse University Writing Program faculty members Margaret Himley and Anne Fitzsimmons to describe a rapid gathering of information spurred by an urgent need to know or to find something—a date, a definition, a name, an image, a location, an historical reference, a citation, etc. It's a great way to work together as a class to explore concepts, ideas or contexts.
