About Me
My name is Michelle Vogel. I am from Vallejo, California. Verndale has been my new home for the last 8 years. My mother is from Guadalajara, Mexico and my father is from Rodeo, California and I have two siblings. I have two beautiful daughters. Spanish is my mother tongue and I am a Mexican citizen. I was the first in my family to go to college. I have been working as a Spanish teacher for more than 10 years. I finished my bachelor’s degree in Spanish from UC Berkeley in 2000. I studied abroad in Spain, Cuba and Mexico. I taught at my alma mater for 7 years in Vallejo. I taught one year at New York Mills High School and then I became a stay home mom for the past 5 years.
Besides teaching my other great passion is traveling and experiencing new cultures. I enjoy bringing my experiences from traveling abroad and my Mexican heritage to the classroom. I love being able to share with my students my Mexican culture and experiences.
