About

Mrs. Kern

Hi! I'm Rachel Kern, the K-12 Counselor at Sebeka Public School. I am responsible for a lot of things in my position as the counselor - I serve on several committees, advise the Peer Tutors, co-advise the Student Council, I am responsible for the standardized testing, and oversee the Sebeka Scholarship Program - but my most important goal is to help students succeed socially, academically and emotionally.

Things you should know about me:

  • I grew up in the small town of Spring Valley, Wisconsin

  • I am a Minnesota Twins fan

  • I got my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at UW-La Crosse

  • I got my Master's degree in Professional School Counseling at MSU, Mankato

  • I like to spend my free time watching sports, reading, playing board games, and having campfires.

  • My husband Adam and I have a son named Miller and a dog named Homer

  • One goal I have in life is to be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune

Students and parents are always welcome to stop by my office!
