After visiting this temple, we felt pretty hungry. Walk into the old street near the temple, and you shouldn’t miss the traditional snack-the Taiwanese Spring Roll. It is said that a festival called Cold Food Day falls one or two days before the Qingming Festival. People couldn’t cook with fire on Cold Food Day, so they created this delicacy. Spring rolls have many ingredients, such as cabbage, bean sprouts, dried tofu, preserved vegetables, braised pork, egg crisp, and peanut powder. With various things inside, every bite tickles our taste buds. The sweetness of vegetables mixes with the aroma of meat, which is a perfect match.
