Before going through the registration process, access your RI voter record to see if you are currently registered. The website will ask for your Name, DOB, and Zip Code to identify your voter status. You must be registered to vote by October 4th to be eligible to vote in the 2020 election.
If you are registered to vote, the website will bring you to your voter record. Here you can see your affiliation, and make any necessary updates.
Residents who are not registered will see the warning "Voter record not found for the entered data. Please try again by entering the correct Information!"
If you are not currently registered to vote within the state of Rhode Island, visit the RI registration portal. You will need your Name, DOB, and a valid Rhode Island DMV issued driver's license or State ID number. Simply fill out the required information on the site until you have completed your voter registration.
Any citizen in Rhode Island is eligible to vote by mail if they choose. No excuse is necessary to request a mail in ballot.
To request a mail in ballot, Rhode Island residents must download and complete a General Mail Ballot Application and submit it to a state town hall (listed on the application) no later than October 13th 2020. Applications can be submitted by mail, or dropped off in person.
