This project was created in an effort to make voting from out of state as easy as possible, especially for students on a college campus. The voting process can seem intimidating and stressful due to how each state differs in what is needed to request an absentee or mail in ballot. As a student living away from home, and (probably) out of state, voting in this year’s election might seem daunting. Even though the process may be new to us, our voices matter and deserve to be heard. While this election year is a divided one, it is important to remember that you are not just voting for the ‘person’; you are voting for policies that may be in place for years to come after this year's candidates are out of office.
We have highlighted the voting processes of nine states that the majority of the Roger Williams University student body is from. Each state’s page includes instructions on how to register to vote, how to vote by mail in this coming election, as well as any other necessary information that may be needed. If your state’s information isn’t found here, you can easily find this information by looking up your Secretary of State's website. A FAQ page was made to answer common questions that may arise as a result of the project as well.
