School Social Workers: Students are free to speak with a social worker if they have concerns about or need help with a personal or a family problem, or a drug or alcohol concern. The school administration and faculty will also make appropriate referrals to the social worker, who is committed to respect the rules of confidentiality in dealing with students and families.
School Psychologists: Our school psychologists complete psychological evaluations, when appropriate, and refer families or students to other professionals in the community for additional support and/or services. Also, the school psychologist provides information regarding Special Education programs.
Instructional Support Team: The middle school has an Instructional Support Team (IST) composed of administrators, guidance counselors, social workers, a psychologist and teachers. The IST will meet by referral to discuss student/parent academic concerns and evaluate students. Any referrals for evaluation, counseling, or a change of placement go through this committee. Please call your guidance counselor for more information.
Student Support Team: The middle school has a Student Support Team (SST) composed of administrators, guidance counselors, and social workers regarding mental health/social/emotional concerns. Student referrals for the SST should be administered through the student’s guidance counselor.
