The Riverhead Central School District is accepting applications for the Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program on April 03, 2024, for next September. This program is contingent upon New York State having a current budget in place. The program provides FREE full day pre-kindergarten classes 5 days per week for eligible children. A child must reside within the Riverhead School District and be four years of age on or before December 1st of the year in which he or she is enrolled or who will otherwise be first eligible to enter public school kindergarten commencing within the following year.

El Distrito Escolar Central de Riverhead está aceptando aplicaciones para el Programa de Pre-kinder Universal comenzando el 03 de abril de 2024, para el próximo septiembre. Este programa depende de que el estado de Nueva York tenga un presupuesto listo. El programa ofrece clases de pre- kinder de día completo GRATIS 5 días a la semana para niños elegibles. Un niño debe vivir dentro del Distrito Escolar de Riverhead y tener cuatro años de edad el 1 de diciembre o antes del año en que está aplicando o que de otra manera será elegible por primera vez para ingresar a kindergarten en la escuela pública a partir del año siguiente. 

UPK Registration will begin on April 3rd and close May 3rd.  The district will conduct a lottery on May 17, 2024.  To participate in the lottery, families must have completely registered. 

Las inscripciones para UPK comenzarán el 3 de abril y cerrarán el 3 de mayo. El distrito llevará a cabo una lotería el 17 de mayo de 2024. Para participar en la lotería, las familias deben haberse registrado por completo.

​The following documents are required to register a student/Los siguientes documentos son necesarios para registrar a un estudiante:

1) Birth Certificate/ Partida de Nacimiento

(2) Student’s Current Physical & Immunization record/ Examen físico y un record de Vacunas Actualizado

(3) Proof of Residency (Landlord affidavit if applicable)/ Prueba de domicilio ( Declaración Jurada del propietario, si aplica)

(4) Photo Identification/ Identificación

(5) Proof of Guardianship (if applicable)/ Prueba de Tutela (si aplica)
