I am a multicultural designer constantly asking new questions and learning new things to make the world a better place than how I found it, powered by the tension between the desire to find simple solutions and the relentless curiosity of a three-year-old. 

I face challenges with excitement, curious to dig deeper, learn and expand my own skillsets.

I find passion and joy in learning about fashion, textiles, construction techniques. 

I'm an Ideation based designer, focused on improving function and utility. I use my expertise in sketching and model making to develop new ideas and come to the right solutions. I love solving everyday problems, but what really get me going, is doing meaningful work that will improve quality of life for others. 

Howdy my name is Conner McGill, I am a sustainability centric industrial design student studying at RIT. I love to design and design to love our planet. I always try to press boundaries in materials, processes, practices and any vector I can get my hands on. 

My approach to Design: Discover the needs of the specific group of people, try to learn what they need and their stories. Design products for them. 

I like to ideate and create new solutions to problems. There's always a way to take an idea or product and ask "how could I make this be better?" 

As a student of Industrial Design, I have strong logical thinking in product design, and I am good at finding, analyzing and solving problems. Also as a Jewelry student, I like to add a soft aesthetic style to the product design. 

My work is deeply motivated by a desire to empower the user. Considering environmental impact should always be prioritized when designing. 

I seek to leverage my experience in engineering to infuse manufacturing, wireless, and digital technologies into innovative designs. In the future, I hope to apply these skills and create meaningful products for emerging markets such as "smart" physical interfaces or creator industries. 

As a designer, I am the bridge between advanced technology and knowledge to the ordinary users.

I take positive technology and knowledge that is obscure, frosty, and ivory-tower, then give them to ordinary users through a common, responsive, and friendly product or concept which ultimately lead to an increase in the overall productivity and satisfaction of the world. 

My design practice centralizes on storytelling, with a focus on visual identity and color.

I believe that any design can be and should be empathetic, delightful, and well-crafted. 

Passion about trying all kinds of technology and material to create something new, friendly and playful.

My design philosophy is “design is all about people.” So I’m trying to find what people really want and need. Trying to create a new system to let people having a more satisfied lifestyle.
