Preparations of Benzothiazolium dyes
During his time in the Cody lab, Liam worked on developing synthetic control over the preparation of benzothiazolium salts. While at RIT, Liam was fortunate to conduct research through multiple summer research fellowships and worked as a learning assistant to develop his teaching skills. Liam is currently a Ph.D. student at Cornell University, where he is co-advised between Professor Marissa Lavagnino and Professor Phillip Milner. Liam’s research interests are currently in developing catalytic methods with a focus on heterogeneous catalysis for fine-molecule synthesis. Liam looks forward to a future career as a researcher in synthetic methods and organometallic chemistry.

Paul is a R&D Scientist at MilliporeSigma. He has experience in inorganic and organometallic chemistry. Specifically with ruthenium and manganese chemistry on organo-phosphine-based ligands. Paul is skilled with spectroscopic techniques such as NMR, IR, and UV-vis as well as mass spectrometry.

After graduating from RIT Zachary went on to get a masters from Northeastern University and a Ph.D. from Dartmouth College. He defended his Ph.D. thesis "Advances in Indole Chemistry: Regiodivergent Annulations and Bridged Azacycle Synthesis" in 2025. Currently, Zachary is a postdoctoral scientist at Scripps Research.

Currently, Russell is a patent agent at Riverside Law LLP. He graduated from Cornell University with a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology. Russell's research at Cornell focused on the identification, isolation, and synthesis of novel metabolites from the nematode C. elegans.

Kyle currently is a partner manager at Bird Rock Systems. He is an experienced scientist with a demonstrated history of working in the food & beverages industry. Skilled in Sales, Management, Recipe Creation, Recipe Scale Up, Sensory Analysis, Laboratory Safety, and Protein Purification. After graduating from RIT Kyle earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) focused in Biochemistry from University of Maryland College Park.

After a postdoc at Virginia Commonwealth University, Courtney worked in academics with a strong commitment to educational research. Currently, Courtney is working at Kodak as an Environmental Health Safety Specialist.
