eleven-fifteen

This design is for an office space being constructed in the Hungerford building at 1115 East Main Street in downtown Rochester. The design drew inspiration from the history of the building. The building housed the manufacturing of rifles during the Spanish-American war and this is reflected in the strong industrial aesthetic of the four leasable office suites on the second floor. In the 1900s, J. Hungerford Smith Company moved in and became the largest producer of fruit syrups and ice cream toppings in the country. This era of the building is represented in the fun, organic, and colour-pop aesthetic of the third-floor co-working space. Both together and separately these two vibes work to create a sense of place in an office environment.
