Kelly Dansby

The 2018-2019 season is Coach Kelly Dansby's third Season as head girls basketball at Richardson High School. In the 2017-2018 Season, Coach Dansby was selected 9-6A Coach of the Year. The Lady Eagles tied for 1st in the District being named co-District Champions, Bi-District Champions, Area Finalist and RISD City Champs. District honors included 9-6A District MVP, 9-6A Newcomer of the Year, two 1st Team All District, 11 Academic All District, and 3 Honorable Mentions. Richardson was ranked #5 in the state for 6A conference (the Best in Team School History), was also ranked as high as #2 in the state for several weeks in the season. Richardson High School Girls program is recognized as one of the Top programs in the Area and State. The Lady Eagles finished the 2017-2018 season with a 11-1 District Record and an Overall Record of 29-5. In 2016-2017, Dansby led the Lady Eagles to a playoff berth in her first year leading the program. The Lady Eagles finished 2nd in District with several district honors to complete the regular season. District honors include 9-6A Offensive Player of the Year, three 1st Team All District three 2nd Team All District, 6 Academic All District, and 2 Honorable Mentions. Before coming to Richardson High School, Dansby was Assistant Head Coach at Mesquite Horn from 2013-2016 and West Mesquite from 2010-2013 assisting both programs to successful seasons and program honors. She has been coaching for thirteen years now and has a true passion for coaching girls basketball at the high school level.
