Can I drop a class because I changed my mind? Can I drop a class at any time during the school year or summer?
Students cannot drop a class because they changed their minds.
We also have deadlines set in place by the Texas Education Agency therefore we cannot make schedule changes after specific dates.
Can I drop AVID?
Because Liberty is no longer an AVID for all school, you CAN drop AVID for the next school year with principal approval.
How do I know if my student’s schedule has changed - or if my student is passing their classes?
Parents, please click here to set up a Parent Focus Account.
With this account, you can view the following: Your student's schedule, grades, any missing assignments, tardies, and absences.
How do I know what school supplies I need for my classes?
Your teachers will give you a school supply list.
Do I have to take a certain class?
There are classes that are required for you to attend. At Liberty, those classes are Reading/Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Additionally, all junior high students are required to take 1 year of either PE or athletics, and 1 semester of CCR.
I have classes on my schedule that I did not request. Why?
Sometimes classes just do not fit in your schedule because every class is not offered every period.
Sometimes there are not enough students to create a class.
Sometimes you are ineligible to take the class you requested.
Sometimes you need an intervention class.
Why does it look like I have more than 8 classes on my schedule?
Some of your classes are Fall semester classes and others are Spring semester classes. When you receive your schedule both your fall and spring classes will show on your schedule.
Can I change from Advanced to Regular?
