First HOSA Meeting!
Lindbergh HOSA had its first HOSA meeting with an amazing turnout! We had over 45 members in one room learning about what HOSA is and how to compete at SLC!

Suturing!
At our second HOSA meeting, Lindbergh students followed tutorial videos on how to suture, and used suturing kits to apply their knowledge!

CPR and First-Aid
Lindbergh HOSA students went through multiple rounds of CPR using CPR dummies and practice AEDs to demonstrate an understanding of what to do in emergencies. Our chapter officers went around teaching the core principles of CPR and also hosted a CPR contest through a built-in app measuring CPR sufficiency in the dummies.

Donning PPE!
Lindbergh HOSA students practiced putting on PPE equipment to get ready for an operation. Lindbergh HOSA officers utilized the Nursing Assistant Guidelines to judge members on whether or not they had the correct steps. The pair with the highest judged score got a prize at the end of the meeting!

Fun Facts and Ambidextrous Challenge!
Lindbergh HOSA began offering general advice and fun facts about how to take care of your body through diet, exercise, mindset, and sleep every meeting! We also did an ambidextrous challenge, having members try to cut out shapes with their non-dominant hand, a common surgeon exercise.

Competition Preparation!
Lindbergh HOSA began to focus hard on competition preparation with SLC being around the corner! Students checked out their relevant textbooks and discussed study strategies for how to do well on their exams and competitions!
