We DEPEND on the environment for survival (food, shelter and water)
We ADAPT in to the environment to fit into it (clothing, housing)
We MODIFY (move outward) the environment by building things like dams, irrigation, roadway
Location tells us where it is!
Absolute is where it absolutely is (GPS, address)
Relative is where it is in relation to somewhere else (over there, down the street, south of...)
Place is 'what is it like when you get there? How does it feel? What does it really look like?
Human characteristics: what part Humans have done. Examples: Space Needle, the language people speak...think about the feel of the humans and culture of the are.
