Response to Instruction (RtI) is a multi-tiered general education approach to providing services and interventions to increase student achievement and reduce behavior problems. All schools have a Panther Support Team (PST) that monitors and assists in guiding interventions. For more information, please contact your child's school.

The My Child Can series was developed by the Alabama State Department of Education as a guide to help Alabama families understand the critical reading knowledge expected to be mastered at the end of each grade level. Families are essential in supporting and encouraging their child's academic achievement, growth, and success.
This assessment is administered to students in second through eighth grade. It is based on Alabama's Course Standards. The ACAP is administered online, second grade scores are only used to measure growth for grade three. There is a writing component for grades four through eight. Grades four, six, and eight also tested in science. Students with significant cognitive disabilities will participate in the ACAP Alternate Exam. This exam is based on the Alabama Alternative Standards.
