CALL FOR PAPERS

General Theme: COGNITIVE LINGUISTICS AND INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES

The 11th Conference on Language, Discourse, and Cognition (CLDC 11) provides an international forum that brings together researchers interested in language, discourse, and cognition. The focus of CLDC 11 sets "Cognitive Linguistics and Interdisciplinary Studies" as the main theme with the objective of further exploring various issues bearing on the symbiosis among cognition, language, and other disciplines. We would like to invite original abstracts on topics dealing with, but not limited to, the following disciplines or sub-disciplines:

Special Theme: LARGE LANGUAGE MODELS (LLMS) AND DISCOURSE ANALYSIS

The 11th Conference on Language, Discourse, and Cognition (CLDC 11) is poised to present an incisive theme that encapsulates the confluence of "Large Language Models (LLMs) and Discourse Analysis". With the burgeoning development of sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) frameworks, the exploration into the nuances of language has been remarkably transformed. The detailed knowledge of linguistics and discourse analysis now plays a pivotal role in the advancement and authenticity of conversational constructs within AI systems. Recognizing the critical significance and burgeoning potential of this interdisciplinary nexus, CLDC 11 cordially invites the submission of abstracts that rigorously investigate the interplay between LLMs and Discourse Analysis.

Submissions may encompass a spectrum of theoretical frameworks, applied research, and interdisciplinary pursuits that bridge the gap between intricate linguistic phenomena and AI technology. Prospective topics may include, but are certainly not limited to, the following areas:

The committee eagerly anticipates original, cutting-edge contributions that push the boundaries of current research paradigms and pave the way for groundbreaking applications of large language models in the nuanced analysis of discourse.
