2026 AP Computer Science Principles (CSP) exam structure:
1. Create Performance Task
Submission Deadline: April 30, 2026 at 10:59 PM PST
What you submit: a completed student project including:
Program code
A video demonstrating your program
A Personalized Project Reference
Completed over roughly 9 hours of in-class time
2. End-of-Course Exam (Fully Digital via Bluebook app)
Exam Date: May 14, 2026 at 12 PM local time (Total Duration: 3 hours)
Two parts:
Section I – Multiple‑Choice (70% of the exam score / 120 minutes)
Types of questions:
57 single-select (choose 1 correct answer)
5 single-select tied to reading passages about computing innovations
8 multi-select (choose 2 correct answers)
Section II – Written-Response (30% of the exam score / 60 minutes)
Based on your Create Task
You will answer 2 questions (comprising a total of 4 prompts):
“Response 1,” and “Response 2 (a/b/c)
You’ll have access to your Personalized Project Reference during this section
You have 60 minutes to complete this part (within the digital exam environment)
