Abstract Guidelines

• All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.

• Abbreviations should be defined the first time they appear in your text. 

• Please do not define or use abbreviations in the title.

The paper shall include the following parts: 

• Title 

• Name and Affiliation of Authors 

  1. • • Author 1 Name (First Name Middle Initial Last Name), Author 2 Name (First Name Middle Initial Last Name)

ex. Ivane R. Pedrosa-Gerasmio, Hidehiro B. Kondo, Ikuo C. Hirono

• Abstracts should not exceed 300 words.

It shall be formatted as follows: 

• Font style and size: Times New Roman, 12 

• Paper size: A4 (8.27 in x 11.69 in) 

• Line spacing: 1.5 

• Margin: 1 in (all sides)

Upload the Abstract on or before May 28, 2024. Follow the file name format indicated below: 

• File format: PDF 

• File name: Department/Program/_Surname, First Name (of presenter) 

• Example: DTTE/IA/_Cruz, John

Presentation Guidelines

• Paper presentations shall be conducted in parallel sessions, each with at least 5 presenters.

• PowerPoint presentation must only include 10 slides and you will be given 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for audience discussion and questions (inclusive of title slide and references slide). 

• A panel of two to three members will be assigned in each breakout session to critique and give recommendations for the improvement of the papers. 

• A moderator will be assigned to each session

• If possible, follow the 6x7 rule for slide presentations: no more than 6 lines per slide and 7 words per line.
