I am Meagan S. Bulawin, your Student Teacher from BTLED-Industrial Arts.
A Pre-Service Teacher deployed in Iligan City National Highschool of Cookery.
As I stepped into the world of field study, I thought I was prepared. But once I was face-to-face with real students, real classrooms, and real challenges, I realized that nothing could truly prepare me for the richness and unpredictability of this experience.
One of the first things I noticed was the sheer energy of a classroom. Watching students interact with one another and with the teacher revealed a whole different side of learning. Every student brought their own unique personality, background, and energy. I observed how some students lit up with curiosity, asking questions or diving into activities, while others needed more encouragement. These little details taught me that teaching isn’t just about delivering a lesson; it’s about reading the room, adjusting to students’ moods, and fostering an environment where everyone feels safe and seen. Teaching is not a destination it’s a journey of growth, mistakes, and constant learning.
In the end, my field study was a glimpse into the future I hope to build a future where I’m not just teaching students but also learning alongside them, supporting them, and growing with them every step of the way.
