ACPES Advisor
Associate Professor Dr. Koh Koon Teck is a faculty member in the Physical Education and Sports Science Academic Group at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore. His expertise is in sport pedagogy and coaching, specifically on values-based coaching and technology-enhanced pedagogy. He is a certified coach developer by the World Association of Basketball Association, conducting coaching clinic for national federations in Asia. He has led numerous competitive funded projects, including the development of an AI-powered coaching observation tool and digital technology-based interventions to improve teaching and learning outcomes in sports and physical education (PE).
Associate Professor Dr. Koh has published over 70 peer-reviewed international journal articles and book chapters, covering topics such as sport pedagogy, values and life skills education, digital learning, and positive youth development through sports and PE. He also edited a scholarly book titled “Coaching Values and Life Skills Through PE and Sports’. The book was published by Routledge recently.
Recognized globally, Associate Professor Dr. Koh has been invited to deliver more than 30 keynote and invited addresses at conferences and more than 100 workshops in Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and beyond. His work promotes the integration of technology in coaching and education, advancing international conversations around innovative and values-driven practices in sports and PE. A strong advocate for digital transformation in sport and PE, Associate Professor Koh continues to shape the field through cross-disciplinary research, lead the transformation of theory to practice, and global academic engagement.
On Day 1 of the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Koh will explore the convergence of science, technology, and human performance, focusing on the impact of big data, AI, and wearable technology in enhancing sports performance, evidence-based athlete development, injury prevention, and the transformative potential of sports science in education and well-being.

Emmanuel Rene S. Ayo, popularly known as Coach Noli, is Co-founder and Advisor of Adrenaline Solutions, a Canadian-based multi-sports service agency, and currently serves as Assistant to the President for Sports and Development at Lyceum of the Philippines University across multiple campuses. He is also the Mindanao Coordinator for the Philippine Sports Commission.
Coach Noli is the founder and convenor of the Mindanao Peace Games, one of the largest independent sports movements in the Philippines, promoting peace and positive culture through sports. He was recognized as a ‘Pandemic Hero’ by New Balance for curating impactful international online sports forums during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He has contributed as a consultant to the Bangsamoro Sports Commission and collaborated with key sports organizations such as the Philippine Olympians Association and the Philippine Olympic Committee – Athletes’ Commission. Coach Noli is also a published author, co-writing the best-selling sports book Winning Still and authoring The Mindanao Peace Games.
Day 2 of the ACPES Conference features Coach Noli who will discuss reimagining physical education for the next generation by emphasizing 21st-century pedagogy, gamification, blended and digital learning environments, and promoting physical literacy and lifelong wellness in the digital age.

Dr. Chian Lit Khoon Zason (詹岦頵) is the Deputy Head and Senior Lecturer at the Physical Education & Sport Science Academic Group, National Institute of Education, Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Science with a Diploma in Education (Physical Education), a Master of Science (Exercise & Sports Studies), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Physical Education), all from Nanyang Technological University.
Dr. Chian is an active leader in the physical education community, currently serving as President of the ASEAN Council of Physical Education & Sport and Honorary Secretary of the Singapore Physical Education Association. He has also held key roles in the Singapore Canoe Federation. His research interests span sport participation, motivation, and educational strategies, reflected in his numerous grants and publications in leading journals such as the International Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology and Heliyon.
Dr. Chian is a sought-after keynote and invited speaker at international conferences and seminars, and he contributes to the academic community as an associate editor and reviewer for several scholarly journals. His dedication to advancing physical education is evident through his research, leadership, and community service, making him a respected figure in his field.
On Day 3 of the conference, Dr. Chian will address equity, inclusion, and cultural identity in movement and sports, highlighting the integration of Indigenous knowledge and local cultures into physical education and recreation, the role of dance, games, and traditions in fostering identity and inclusivity, and global perspectives on inclusive physical activity practices.

Prof. Dr. Ephrime B. Metillo is a marine scientist with a comprehensive background in aquatic zoology. His academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Tasmania, where he specialized in marine biodiversity and environmental assessment, alongside other notable degrees.
Throughout his extensive career, Prof. Metillo has been a dedicated professor at the Department of Marine Science in MSU-IIT, where he has actively contributed to teaching, research, and development since 1998. His administrative roles include serving as Vice-Chancellor for Research and Enterprise, Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics.
Prof. Metillo's research interests span marine ecology, plankton biology, and coastal resources management, evident in his numerous publications, awards, and significant contributions to research and development initiatives. His leadership in various administrative capacities reflects his commitment to the academic and research advancement of the university.
Prof. Metillo will talk on the topic Bridging Research and Practice: Translating Scientific Discoveries into Community-Based PE and Health Programs in the ACPES Conference.

Prof. Dr. Tandiyo Rahayu, M.Pd. is a professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Indonesia. She is a leading expert in research methodology, physical education, sport psychology, and sport management. She completed her undergraduate studies in Physical Education at IKIP Negeri Semarang, her master’s degree at IKIP Negeri Jakarta, and later earned her doctorate from the same institution, with a dissertation on developing a self-confidence scale for athletes.
Prof. Rahayu is widely recognized for her academic and research contributions. She has authored numerous scientific articles published in reputable international journals, and has led various research projects focusing on physical education, sport tourism, athlete psychology, and health promotion through sports—both in Indonesia and in international collaborative settings. Her research has contributed significantly to the understanding of sports as a tool for psychosocial well-being, sustainable development, and national branding.
She is actively involved in several professional organizations, serving as General Secretary of APKORI, a member of ICSSPE, and a Board Member of ACPES. She also represents Indonesia as a national delegate to the International Physical Education and Sport Education Federation (FIEPS). Her academic influence is reflected in her SINTA score of 1912.92, a Scopus h-index of 6, and a Google Scholar h-index of 14.
Beyond research, Prof. Rahayu is a sought-after speaker and has presented in numerous international and national seminars. She also contributes to shaping public policy in sports, being involved in the drafting of Indonesia’s national sports development plans and in designing community-based sports initiatives. With decades of experience in education and public service, Prof. Rahayu continues to be a key figure in advancing sports science and education in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.

Senior Lecturer

Dr. Roxana Dev Omar Dev is a distinguished academic and professional with a deep commitment to health, fitness, and sustainable living. Born in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia, she has pursued a diverse educational path. She began her education at Batu Road Girls' School and St. Mary's Girls' School in Kuala Lumpur, before moving on to higher studies in the United States at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. There, she earned her first degree in Actuarial Science and Dance, followed by a Master of Physical Education in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. She later completed her Doctorate in Health Psychology at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2018.
Currently, Dr. Roxana is a senior lecturer in the Department of Sport Studies at UPM, where she teaches a variety of courses on nutrition, health, fitness, and wellness. As an expert in health behavior, her research focuses on health psychology, nutrition, body posturing, fitness, and sustainable living. Her extensive academic background is complemented by her certifications as an American Council on Exercise (ACE) personal trainer and an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) group aerobics instructor, highlighting her hands-on expertise in fitness.
Dr. Roxana is also an active member of several professional organizations. She serves on the board of the ASEAN Council of Physical Education and Sports (ACPES) and as a board member of the ASEAN University Network for Culture and Arts (AUN-CA). She also acts as an active consultant to the Institute of Youth Research in Malaysia, focusing on sports culture index. Furthermore, she is the vice president of the Kuala Lumpur Fitness Association (KLFit).
A passionate environmental activist, Dr. Roxana advocates for sustainable living and strives to incorporate this philosophy into her personal and professional endeavors. Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous international conferences, publishing and presenting research papers on health, fitness, and sustainability.
