The Book Creator Certified Author program is a short course aimed at getting you up to speed with the fundamentals of Book Creator - creating, reading, and publishing books. The course was updated in 2022 and comprises of 18 videos from our Teacher Success Managers, Jon Smith and Catherine Cappiello.
Once you've watched the videos, you'll need to pass the quiz with a score of 16/20 minimum. The whole thing will take no more than 2 hours.
If you pass the quiz, you'll become a Book Creator Certified Author! You'll get a digital badge and certification of completion.
Log into Book Creator.
Be sure to login as a TEACHER not a STUDENT in Book Creator.
You may register for a free educator account since it is Ed Law 2d compliant.

You'll need to access the course via the Teacher Dashboard. Click on the CERTIFICATION tab to get started. You'll also find a button to View the course under the LEARN tab.
You can work your way through the videos at your own pace, once you've finished watching a video click Complete and continue to progress to the next lesson. Your progress is shown. Note - the videos are played with captions turned on by default, but you can turn them off if you want to.

Next, share your skills!
Your Task:
Select ONE Book Creator Template that you could remix to tell a story (fiction or nonfiction).
Remix it and create an original book that you can use with students, staff, parents, etc.
50 Ways to use Book Creator in your classroom is linked here for more ideas. You may return to your certification training videos by clicking app.bookcreator.com/certification at any time to help you in this process.
The discover tab within Book Creator will give you access to either REMIX an existing template for use in your classroom next year or you may start a book from SCRATCH!
Steps for creating and sharing:
Create your book in the My Library section of Book Creator
Once you are done, share the book with us by returning to your library so it is a thumbnail.
Select the 3 dots on your book and select "share" then "publish online" - keep the settings as is - it will be private.
Give it a title.
Select the "publish" button.
Once it is published online privately, in the pop-up screen, click the yellow button under the thumbnail: "copy link"
That link should be pasted into the form below.
