Teacher's Sharing
Mr. Wong - The Storyteller
There's a saying in Chinese, "上知天文,下知地理". It suggests that people who study geography are like walking encyclopedia — they seem to know everything. And it's true, geography covers a massive scope, from rocks to the atmosphere, from cities to the entire globe. A geography student can appear to be a "know-it-all."
But for me, the most fascinating part of studying geography is that it trains us to become storytellers of our surroundings. Whether in natural or urban spaces, everything we see has a reason for its formation. Even our ordinary community has a story behind it, shaped into what it is today by the interaction of different factors. The greatest joy of being a storyteller is being able to grasp the essence of these stories and share them with others.
I hope that geography students can also become storytellers and share the principles behind with others.
Ms. Poon - The Romantic Traveler
Have you ever wanted to travel the world? A geography class is like a tour guide leading a group of visitors on a deep dive into a special place's natural scenery or culture. If we just let our imagination run a little, and fully immerse ourselves in the lesson, it's as if we are wandering through the world.
You might not be interested in every topic, but when certain features and landscapes come alive in front of you, you might get a feeling of pure satisfaction. Everything you've learned will become vivid! Geography is lively! Let's keep being curious about our world!
