Soldotna Elementary School Counseling Mission & Vision Statement

Mission Statement

The mission of Soldotna Elementary School Counseling program is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that focuses on academic, career and social-emotional development of all students. The counseling program positively reinforces educational excellence by engaging students to develop their confidence and competence towards their emotional development. Through trauma informed practices, our program identifies and teaches students how to properly utilize their tools to assist in acquiring mindfulness. In partnership with teachers, administrators, parents and the community, our counseling program promotes an inclusive positive climate that engages students to be creative, innovative and compassionate members of the community.

Vision Statement

The vision of Soldotna Elementary School Counseling program is to guide all students with the tools needed to assist in academic achievement, career development as well as social-emotional development. Our trauma informed approach guides students towards becoming resilient life-long learners. Through guidance and support, students will be able to identify their unique strengths to help them positively shape their futures.
