MAINTAIN SCHOOL WEBSITE - Update with key information and active links for all Virtual Classrooms.
COORDINATE MEETINGS, INSTRUCTION & SUPPORTS -Ensure and monitor coordination of core instruction and supplemental supports (i.e. Special Education).
MONITOR STUDENT WORKLOAD - Provide guidance to faculty to avoid overload and facilitate student access to tangible resources. (Grade-Span Recommendations)
CHECK FOR CONTINUITY - Consistency in workload requirements and expectations for students across a grade and content area.
CONNECT - Collaborate with Special Education, Instructional Specialists, and Support Programs for meeting student needs.
CONSISTENT COMMUNICATION - Online presence of the teacher is vital.
Elementary Grades - Daily Check-in Video / Weekly phone call for offline students.
Secondary Grades - Weekly Check-in Videos (Coordinated at school level for students to receive a daily video).
COMPLETE CHECKLIST - Make a copy of the Teacher Preparation Checklist. Utilize colleagues as resources and attend relevant professional development opportunities.
WEEKLY CHECK-IN WITH FAMILIES - Briefly connect via phone, text, or email by the initial contact person maintaining human connection.
REDUCE WORKLOAD - Follow the grade-level recommendations for workload requirements for students.
UPDATE on GRADING - Guidance on Final Semester Grades and the Grading for Remote Learning guidelines for grading student work.
