School Counseling Mission Statement

The School Counseling Program’s mission is to support student development of positive mindsets and behaviors that are instrumental in student growth as they become productive, caring citizens and lifelong learners.

School Counseling Vision Statement

The School Counselor will practice kindness, compassion, respect and creative problem-solving to foster a caring, safe, respectful and positive school culture. In this environment, students will feel safe to explore their interests and potential in the areas of academic, career, and personal development.

An effective school counseling program is a collaborative effort that involves students, parents & guardians, teachers, administrators and community members working together to provide students with opportunities for growth on their path to becoming mindful, responsible, lifelong learners.

The school counseling program will be comprehensive in scope, preventative in design and developmental in nature; it will include classroom lessons, individual and small group support, responsive services, and systematic collaboration to ensure all students enjoy a safe and nurturing environment that enhances their potential to learn and grow.
