KPBSD Summer Reading Instruction

Two lessons on BOOST per week can help your student accelerate their reading skills over the summer!

Amplify Boost Reading

KPBSD is excited to offer you and your students access to Boost Reading during the summer months.  Boost Reading is a literacy program that can help keep your student on track and prevent the "summer slide."

Boost Reading provides your child with the opportunity to learn and practice literacy skills within an engaging story world that adapts to each student as they move through the program. This means that you do not need to assist students with their learning. Once your child can log in, they’re ready to start using the program.

How do I help my student log in to Amplify Boost Reading ?

Heggerty’s Summer Support lessons give parents, tutors, and summer school staff FREE access to high-quality phonemic awareness lessons.

Phonemic awareness lessons reinforce students' knowledge while preparing them for the next step in their reading journey. Students will revisit key weeks from the grade they’ve just completed, providing them the opportunity to hear and work with the sounds in language and strengthen the connections they’ve made between letters and sounds. Lessons also include access to our daily lesson videos - so any child, anywhere, can receive quality instruction from a literacy specialist!
