I am interested in the Biomedical applications of the Fluorescent NanoDiamond (FND). Since its fluorescence intensity from negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy centers can be modulated by a magnetic field, we have applied this magneto-optical property for ultrasensitive detection of FND and built a Spin-Enhanced Lateral Flow Immunoassay system for FND quantification on the Lateral Flow Immunoassays. Recently we have developed portable Lateral Flow Readers and quantified the gold nanoparticles in commercial immunoassays for Precision Health.
