Julia Heckathorn studied Theatre and Musical Theatre at Westminster University in London, Point Park Conservatory and received her B.A in Theatre from SUNY Brockport. Mrs. Heckathorn has taught Theatre Arts at MBHS for the last 4 years. Prior to that, she taught Theatre & Dance in NC for 9 years. Her directing work on Little Shop of Horrors landed an invitation to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest performing arts festival. Mrs. Heckathorn has directed many main stage productions including Shrek the Musical, Queens, Once Upon a Mattress, Fire Exit, Once on This Island, Junie B. in Jingle Bells Batman Smells, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, Murder in the Knife Room, Snappy Sketches, Cheaper by the Dozen and many others over the last 22 years. Julia has an amazing husband, Lee and three wonderful boys Aidan, Will and Gabe.
