Dear Families,
We’re excited to launch #RiseWithReading: The 1,000 Page Challenge!
This year, all Horry County Schools students are encouraged to read 1,000 pages each quarter to build strong reading habits and foster a love of books. Every page counts, whether your child is reading at school, at home, from the library, listening to an audiobook (1 minute = 1
page), or using a digital app like Sora. Students will track their progress in Beanstack, available through ClassLink or the free Beanstack app. For help with Beanstack, contact your child’s teacher or school librarian.
Here are some video tutorials and flyers to help get you started with Beanstack:

Why 1,000 Pages?
Reading regularly improves vocabulary, comprehension, and academic success. This challenge
helps students develop daily reading habits, explore new books, and feel proud of their
progress.
Families play a vital role in supporting their child’s reading journey by encouraging regular
reading and having meaningful conversations about books.
