Bienvenidos!

My name is Rebekah Ceron. This is my fifth year of teaching; I found my calling later in life and came out of industry into this profession. I feel grateful and authentic joy when connecting with students. I am passionate about introducing hispanic cultures to my students. Hopefully it evokes curiosity, empathy, and a desire to experience another culture.

A little about my background...

I spent my teenage years in Madrid, Spain with my father where I learned to speak Spanish fluently. This was an experience that transcended what I thought about everything. I was given the freedom to explore a city with a map and a metro ticket. I dived into the Arts at this young age and traveled to Africa every summer, as well as frequently to Europe.

I later graduated with a BA in Sociology from Shepherd University, in West Virginia. This was another profound experience in my life that revolutionized how I understood human behavior and the social structures in which we live. After graduation, I moved to Berkeley, California, which became a home base for my travels.

One of these many places was Peru where I lived for two weeks in the Amazon with a native tribe; this was an incredible experience which taught me how to respect and work with nature. I also learned how to make natural remedies for common illnesses. In that same trip, I visited Ecuador and Bolivia; over the years, I have traveled to every country in Central America.

I now live in Conway with my nine year old daughter Zariah, our chihuahua Luna, and our cats, Art & Starlight. We enjoy a simple and healthy life with beach trips, art, music, local festivals, travel, family & friends.

Viva la Vida!!
