For the 2025 - 2026 school year, we’re excited to launch #RiseWithReading: The 1,000 Page Challenge!
What is Rise With Reading?
All Horry County Schools students are encouraged to read 1,000 pages each
quarter to build strong reading habits and foster a love of books. Every page counts, whether
your child is reading at school, at home, from the library, listening to an audiobook (1 minute = 1
page), or using a digital app like Sora.
Students will track their progress in Beanstack, available through ClassLink or the free
Beanstack app. See below for instructions and tips for using Beanstack. As students read, they’ll earn fun digital badges:
● 100 pages: Literacy Launcher
● 250 pages: Page Climber
● 500 pages: Chapter Champion
● 750 pages: Page Pro
● 1,000 pages: Reading Riser
● 4,000 pages: Summit Reader (Yearly goal)
