Meet the Staff
bhiggins@horrycountyschools.net
Greetings, Seahawks! My name is Mr. Higgins, and I have served as the librarian at MBM since the fall of 2015. The 2026-2027 school year will be my 14th year as an educator. I also worked as an elementary librarian. I am excited to help you better understand literature and technology, as you demonstrate character, community, and scholarship.
I am married, and my wife and two young sons are my greatest joys. When not reading myself, I love listening to my oldest son read, exploring South Carolina's beautiful state parks, and enjoying old movies with my wife.
Favorite Books: Catch- 22 by Joseph Heller and any nonfiction that helps me understand the world better.
