Mrs. Kathryn Van Ness, Art Teacher
Forestbrook Middle School offers engaging art classes for students in grades 6-8. In general art, students explore a variety of artistic media, techniques, and styles while developing their creativity and skills. This course also introduces students to art history, helping them understand how artists, cultures, and movements have influenced the world of art.
Eighth grade students who are ready for an additional challenge may be interested in advanced art. This semester-long class is designed for students who would benefit from a more focused and in-depth art experience. Students interested in advanced art should speak with Mrs. Van Ness to learn more and determine if this class would be a good fit for them.
There is also an after-school opportunity for students who have excellent grades, good behavior, and artistic ability: The National Junior Art Honor Society, led by Mrs. Van Ness and Mr. Panamarczuk. Please complete the application below if you would like to be considered for this opportunity!
