Meet The Counselor

Welcome to the 2022-2023 School year! I am happy to be a part of the Daisy community and look forward to working with all of you.

Allow me to introduce myself. For the past three years, I worked at Conway Middle School as a 6th Grade ELA teacher, and prior to working at CMS, I taught 6th grade in Madison, Connecticut for 20 years. I moved to South Carolina with my husband and my youngest son, Austin, in June of 2019. Austin is a senior at the Academy of Arts, Science, and Technology in Myrtle Beach, where he is exploring his interests in the medical field. My oldest son, Arik, lives just outside of Dallas and is working for a security company, putting his marketing degree to good use, and my middle son, Jeffrey, still lives in Connecticut and is working at a Ford dealership pursuing his passion of working on cars. In my free time I enjoy crafting, reading, and days on the river with my family.

My Role

My role as a school counselor is to work with all students, school staff, families and members of the community to be part of the education program. My school counseling program uses the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) model and will promote school success with a focus on academic achievement, Personal/Social Development, Career Discovery and Development, and Prevention Services/Awareness Celebrations . I will be working with students in small groups, individual sessions, as well as some whole class sessions (classroom guidance).

Daisy Elementary School Mission Statement

To ensure that each child receives a personalized quality education where they are nurtured and challenged by actively engaging in meaningful standards-based teaching and learning in preparation for their future.
