Need a tool for your next lab, clinic project, or late-night engineering breakthrough? The Engineering Stockroom’s 24/7 Student Access Area is here to help!

Declared engineering students, E4 students, and other approved users have 24/7 ID access to this dedicated space. Inside, you’ll find tools, hardware, and electrical components available whenever your schedule allows.

We trust our students to care for this shared resource by: 

• Returning all tools and equipment on time within 72 hours and in good condition.

• Keeping the area clean and organized for others.

• Understanding that repeated late returns, missing items, or damaged tools may result in loss of car

🧰Tool and Equipment Checkout Policy

To keep tools and equipment accessible for everyone, the 24/7 Student Access Area's checkouts are limited to 72 hours and include:

• Wired drills and dremels

• Hole saw sets

• Screwdrives (mini, torx, philips, flathead)

• Bar clamps and handi clamps

• Glue guns and heat guns

• Hammers and rubber mallets

• Nitrile, vinyl, and latex gloves

If you need to hold onto something longer, contact the Instructional Support Coordinator for their approval.

🔐Badge ID Access

Access to the 24/7 Student Access Area is available to declared engineering majors, E4 students, and other approved students.

Before requesting access, all students must complete the steps below to confirm they understand the rules and responsibilities of using the space:

1. Open the "Engineering Stockroom ID Access Kuali" form.

2. Select whether you're an Engineering major, E4 student, or doing research with an Engineering faculty member. 

3. Agree to the form's rules and conditions. 

4. Fill out the rest of the form and click the "Submit" icon in the top righthand corner of the page. 

Students who aren't declared engineering majors or E4 students may still request access; however, approval from an Engineering faculty member or the Instructional Support Coordinator is required. 

🕒Hours

The Engineering Stockroom is open to Harvey Mudd College students:

• Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

All engineering majors, E4 students, and other approved students also have access to the 24/7 Student Access Area outside these working hours.
