Greenland's glacial fjords are vital elements of global ocean circulation, exporting freshwater from melting glaciers into the greater ocean. Driven by climate change, more glaciers in these fjords are retreating from marine to land-terminating: two systems which differ crucially in their patterns of circulation and stratification. For my thesis, I'm using mathematical tools to explore these differences and their implications for broader coastal-scale dynamics.
