Nathan Pace

Mr. Pace was born and raised in and around New Orleans, Louisiana where he discovered and fostered his love for music. He relocated to Fort Worth, Texas during the Hurricane Katrina evacuations of 2005 which was where he accepted his first position as a music teacher in the elementary classroom. In 2007 he moved to Kyle, Texas and began teaching at Tobias Elementary where he has found a home and passion for the children of the Hays CISD community.

Mr. Pace earned a bachelor's degree in music composition from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA and a Kodály Specialist Certificate from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He is a strong advocate for the Kodály teaching method (https://www.oake.org/about-us/the-kodaly-concept/) which he has utilized to great effect in the music classroom since 2008. He is the director of the Tobias Elementary Choir which has acquired numerous awards and accolades including multiple sweepstakes for sight-reading and performance from the Central Texas Children's Choir Festival and 5 Best In Class awards from the Sound Waves Schlitterbahn Choir Festival.
