Brown Santa

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY (3 hours) - Brown Santa wrapping event earns 3 hours of community service.

November - December:

Nov 17: Box is placed in SMS front office for Brown Santa Toy Drive (see information below)

Dec ?: Brown Santa wrapping event (see information below)

Dec 6: Budafest Parade - Student Council members participate in a parade (6:30 p.m.)!!!

Dec 15-18: Dress up Days 

December: Brown Santa (Sheriff's Department)

Student Council (STUCO) will support the local Hays Sheriff's Department. STUCO members will participate in the gift wrapping event with the Sheriff's Department in Kyle. It will be held in San Marcos, details will be posted soon. This event will serve as our community service and students earn hours towards the mandated 6 for the year. 3 hours of community service is earned during the Fall semester and 3 hours are earned  during the Spring semester, they are REQUIRED!!!This is a HUGE event that requires so much that we would like to request donations of the following items:

STUCO starts collecting gift wrapping items (see list below) beginning November 1 and toy donations can be dropped off in the box in the front office beginning November 17th!

1. wrapping paper

2. tissue wrapping paper

3. scotch tape rolls

4. bows

5. gift boxes

6. gift bags

7. small ornaments to put on the front of the presents

8. treats for the wrapping event for students to enjoy as a group (sugar cookies, hot chocolate, Christmas treats, etc...)

9. Santa hats for our elves

10. PLEASE DO NOT wrap presents that are donated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
