Veronica Cervantes, PhD. LPC-S
I'm excited to return to my first loves of education. I started in the Hays district in 2000 at Kyle Elementary as a school counselor and made KES my second home for 12 years. I transferred over to Simon Middle School in 2012 as a school counselor for four years, and then hopped on over to help open up McCormick Middle school six years ago as one of their school counselors. I taught 12 years in elementary schools before becoming a school counselor.
I received my undergraduate degree at Corpus Christi State University and my masters degree at the same place, different name: Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. I also have a PhD in Counseling Studies from Capella University.
I live here in Kyle with my husband, David and our fur baby, Jaxon. My husband and I have five kids between us who have all (minus one) graduated from Lehman High School. I love to bake, shop, and take road trips with my husband. We also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I am excited to be a Negley Navigator!

I'm excited for my second year at Negley Elementary. Previously, I was a school counselor in Houston at Sheldon ISD for 9 years. I began my elementary teaching career in 2008. I received my undergraduate degree and masters degree at Auburn University. War Eagle! I am currently residing in Wimberley with my husband, Janson, and very energetic German Shorthaired Pointer puppy, Stevie Nicks. I am the stepmother to my 14 year old son, Addison, who resides in Pensacola, Florida. I love to spend time outdoors hiking, enjoying the Blanco River, and tending to our family's chickens. Since cooking for family and friends is a passion of mine, I am always using their eggs for something! I am excited to be support the families of Negley Elementary. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
