We catalogued the material from the Huangsipu Site 黄泗浦遗址 (2018 China's Top 10 archaeological discoveries) and the Sizhoucheng Site 泗州城遗址. I was responsible for drawing the three-view drawings of each artifact on professional paper and then transforming them into digital versions through Adobe Illustrator. I assisted in organizing the workshop on ‘How to Write an Archaeological Report of Sites from Tang to Ming Dynasty’ and translated the abstract of the archaeological report of Dongyang Han Tombs into English.
I particitated the cataloguing process of seals found in the Tushan Han tomb 土山汉墓. We measured the sealing clays, identified the ancient characters on them, wrote descriptions for each clay, and photographed them, all of which will be used in the forthcoming archaeological report.

I participated in the excavation of the Qifengshan Han tomb 起凤山汉墓. This is a salvage excavation of an elite tomb. In August, we excavated the passage and main chamber, where funerary goods such as pottery, bronze vessels, lacquerware, wooden objects, silver vessels, and glass were found. We learned to use the RTK to pinpoint the site on maps, the drones to take photos, and the Photoscan software to create a 3D model of a site or a building.

This is the field excavation training course offered for undergraduates at Nanjing University. We excavated Datongpu site 大同铺遗址 which dates back to 3000-4000 BP (Shang and Zhou period), including remains like stoves, wells, pits, and possible living dwellings. We learned the whole process of an archaeological excavation, from investigating a site, arranging the trenches, doing the excavation, to cataloguing daily recordings and all the relics.

We excavated a tomb and a horse pit related to a Scythian. We Visited museums about indigenous people, local geology and history, visited some rock arts, and attended lectures given by scholars from the Altai State University and other research institutes, covering topics such as local archaeological findings, the long tradition of nomadism, paleobotany, and the origin of modern horses. I wrote a project report of more than 20,000 words.
