How long is the program?
The program runs from June 3 - August 8.
Is there housing?
All students will be provided with free on-campus housing and a meal plan.
Do I get a stipend for my research?
Yes! A stipend of $6,500 will be provided for each student.
Who is eligible for SPHEER?
Because we are funded by the National Science Foundation, you need to be a US citizen or permanent resident. You also must be graduating from your undergraduate institution in December 2026 or later for the summer 2026 session.
What is the research focus of SPHEER?
SPHEER has three research themes:
